About The Position
Performs fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs and lawns using spray and injection tools. The role involves cultivating your career and fertilizing your future by properly identifying and diagnosing insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest prone areas. You will communicate with and educate clients regarding diagnoses and prescribed pest control and fertilization services. The position requires performing prescribed fertilization and integrated pest management on trees and shrubs using spray and injection tools, continuously monitoring methods after application, and communicating progress to customers and supervisors. Additionally, the role includes driving, using, maintaining, and properly operating a truck and sprayer equipment.
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Background in Horticulture or Landscaping
- Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
Responsibilities
- Properly identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest prone areas.
