About The Position
We are seeking Lawn & Landscape Workers to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in lawn or landscape crews who are looking for year-round, stable employment. We work with large home builders from Sarasota to Venice to North Port, ensuring their job sites are clean and up to code. This is not a traditional lawn care job; instead, it involves putting up silt fence on new home construction sites. The work includes digging, setting posts, and hanging fabric. We provide comprehensive training, so prior experience in silt fence work is not required, but your ability to work outdoors in demanding conditions is essential. Requirements
- Experience in lawn or landscape, irrigation, sod, fencing, or construction work is beneficial.
- Ability to work hard in demanding outdoor conditions, including Florida heat, every day.
- Reliability: Must show up on time, ready to work, every morning.
- Willingness to learn: Ask questions, take direction, and strive for improvement.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a team, contribute your share, and support your crew.
- A valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Put in silt fence: Dig, set posts, and hang fabric.
- Help with equipment: Load, unload, and tie down tools and gear each day.
- Keep sites clean: Walk the site with your crew, identify issues, and resolve them.
- Learn the trade: Receive on-the-job training from your crew leader, including operating a trencher and other machines as you progress.
