About The Position

Arrow Exterminators is looking to hire a full-time Lawn Care Technician to provide uncompromised service to Lawn and Ornamental customers by evaluating and diagnosing lawn and ornamental needs and using hand and powered equipment to apply fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides. We have been a family-owned and operated business since our start in 1964. Over the years, we have grown rapidly, and we now have the privilege of servicing 16 states. Requirements

  • Ability to pass the state of Florida's Best Management Practices exam for lawncare and maintain any state regulatory agency required licensing.
  • Able to pass internal technical exams.
  • Possess a current Driver's License in the state where you work, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, and maintain a driving record consistent with company standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Present a professional appearance including wearing an approved Arrow uniform.
  • Able to work a 40-hour (minimum) workweek.
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose lawn and ornamental needs.
  • Use hand and powered equipment to apply fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides.
  • Maintain a company vehicle and all company equipment provided.
  • Schedule and keep appointments with customers.
  • Identify insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and other conducive conditions on customer properties.
  • Explain the course of action to the customer.
  • Draw diagrams or graphs of the treatment plan.
  • Answer any additional questions about the service proposed.
  • Collect on payments due.
  • Suggest any other services that would benefit the customer.
