Lawn Care & Landscape Enhancement Technician
About The Position
MasterScapes is seeking a hardworking, dependable technician to maintain healthy, attractive customer properties through lawn care and landscape maintenance, with opportunities to assist on enhancement and installation projects as they arise. The position combines routine maintenance with varied outdoor project work and offers hands-on learning across multiple areas of landscaping. Technicians perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions, operate landscaping equipment, and collaborate with team members to meet daily schedules and quality standards. With appropriate training and supervision, the role may also include assisting with weed control and fertilization, learning to recognize turf and weed concerns, inspecting irrigation systems, and helping troubleshoot or repair irrigation components. MasterScapes offers paid training, cross-training, and opportunities to develop skills and advance into crew leadership or other leadership positions.
Requirements
- Some experience in landscaping, lawn care, construction, or other outdoor work.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn and landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and property cleanup.
- Operate and maintain professional landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards for property appearance, quality, and attention to detail.
- Work with team members to complete daily maintenance schedules.
- Identify property concerns and communicate them to supervisors.
- Assist with landscape enhancement and installation projects according to customer needs and project schedules.
- Help install plants, shrubs, trees, mulch, rock, and other landscape materials.
- Assist with landscape bed renovations, property improvements, and general enhancement work.
- Transition between routine lawn maintenance and enhancement projects as business needs change.
- Learn landscaping techniques and develop skills across multiple areas of the industry.
- With appropriate training and supervision, assist with weed control and fertilization applications.
- Learn to identify common weeds, turf health concerns, and treatment needs.
- Inspect irrigation systems for broken sprinkler heads, leaks, coverage issues, and other deficiencies.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing irrigation components to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Develop specialized skills in lawn treatments and irrigation services through hands-on training and additional responsibilities.
