As a Law Enforcement Security Officer- Armed Field Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Law Enforcement Officer License
  • 22+ years of age
  • Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs: 1. Certified State law enforcement recruit training. 2. Certified County law enforcement recruit training. 3. Federal law enforcement training. 4. Programs approved by the Director.
  • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.
  • Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English.
  • Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
  • LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate authorities and/or support personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and credentialed areas, verify identification and/or access authorization, and document security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements while maintaining professionalism during interactions with the public and client representatives.
