The Law Enforcement Mentor is responsible for mentoring, supporting, and guiding at-risk youth through prevention, intervention, and community engagement services. Drawing on prior law enforcement experience, this role focuses on building positive relationships with youth and families while helping prevent delinquency, truancy, substance use, violence, and other high-risk behaviors. The specialist works collaboratively with schools, families, community organizations, and service providers to connect youth with appropriate resources and opportunities for success. This position emphasizes relationship-building, trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and restorative approaches rather than enforcement.
