About The Position
Law clerks may office in either a district office or the appellate office. The work depends on the district you work in and your work is managed by either a Chief Public Defender or Managing Attorney or Assistant Public Defender. This posting will fill two (2) vacancies located in either Duluth, Carlton, or Hibbing. Students will be involved in providing direct services to clients from the many communities we serve, under the supervision of experienced attorneys.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and attending law school from an accredited law school.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in working with a diverse community and indigent clients.
- Coursework in legal writing, criminal law and /or procedures is desired, but not required.
Responsibilities
