About The Position
Hupy and Abraham S.C., an AV-rated personal injury law firm is looking for a motivated Law Clerk for our Downtown Milwaukee, WI office. This is a great opportunity for a recent JD graduate looking to gain more experience! Our Law Clerks support our litigation attorneys with legal document production, legal case law research, and screening new client calls.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree
- Eligible or in the process of taking the Wisconsin Bar exam or licensed by the Wisconsin State Bar
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills
- Innovative problem resolution
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced/dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Draft summons/complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
- Legal Research
- Brief Writing
- Screening Potential Clients
- Trial Preparation
- Other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney
