About The Position
PJI Law, a boutique, busy, and fast-growing law firm in Fairfax, Virginia, is offering an enriching, in-office Externship. This role presents both challenging and rewarding experiences for law students seeking to sharpen their legal skills. As a law clerk, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our civil litigation attorneys. If you're a law student eager to apply your classroom knowledge in a practical, real-world legal environment, this externship is for you.
Requirements
- Enrollment as a 2L or higher in an accredited law school.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent research and writing abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and legal research software.
- Minimum hours required: 120 hours
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and managing extensive case files related to civil litigation.
- Draft legal documents, including memoranda, motions, and briefs under the supervision of an attorney.
- Conduct legal research using various resources to support case preparation and strategy.
- Work closely with attorneys and legal support team members on civil litigation cases.
