The Center for Biological Diversity is seeking ten full-time Law Clerks for Summer 2027 who are passionate about environmental protection and justice. Clerks will be assigned to specific programs such as Oceans, Carnivore Conservation, Climate Law Institute, Endangered Species, Public Lands, Urban Wildlands, or Environmental Health. The positions can be worked remotely or in person at various office locations (Oakland, CA; Portland, OR; Washington, DC), with some programs being remote-only. The clerkship is expected to last ten weeks, with clerks working full-time hours (40 per week). Attorneys at the Center work on diverse environmental law issues, and law clerks will assist with legal research, writing, litigation, and advocacy under the supervision of experienced attorneys. Clerks will gain experience in environmental advocacy, legal research and writing, and will contribute to conservation efforts.
