About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Law Clerk to support the Legal Department in legal research, document preparation, and administrative coordination. This role provides direct support to attorneys by assisting with legal analysis, drafting, and reviewing documents, and managing legal materials and schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and writing skills, excellent technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Advancement opportunities available, encouraged and supported. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a legal assistant
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and document editing abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including legal document formatting
  • Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables a plus)
  • Experience using DocuSign or similar electronic signature platform for document execution and workflow management systems
  • Familiarity with OneDrive/Google Drive or similar document storage and management systems
  • Ability to manage schedules, calendars, and meeting coordination
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working with contracts, NDAs, intellectual property, corporate governance, or finance related legal matters.
  • Experience using LEXIS, Westlaw, PACER, or similar legal research platforms
  • Prior experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or judicial internship
  • Familiarity with corporate law, governance, contracts, or regulatory matters
  • Writing samples demonstrating legal research and writing ability
  • Professional, dependable, and proactive

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research
  • Review, proofread, and edit legal documents
  • Format and prepare legal documents in Microsoft Word, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to legal formatting standards
  • Assist attorneys with preparation and review of contracts, corporate governance documents, and regulatory materials
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedules, and meeting coordination, including tracking important deadlines and legal matters
  • Prepare and organize materials for internal meetings, board meetings, and legal submissions
  • Utilize DocuSign for document execution and signature workflows
  • Maintain and organize legal documents and files using OneDrive/Google Drive or similar cloud storage platforms, and internal document management systems
  • Assist with document management and workflow processes
  • Review corporate filings and Secretary of State records to support legal analysis and documentation
  • Ensure confidential and accurate handling of sensitive legal and corporate information
  • Maintain organized records of legal research, documents, and supporting materials
