About The Position

Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Laundry Worker to join the Laundry and Linen team at Heiltsuk Hospital in Bella Bella, BC. As a Laundry Worker you will operate domestic and non-domestic washers and dryers and perform laundry duties such as sorting, folding and weighing linens.

Requirements

• Grade 10 plus recent related experience in a commercial or industrial laundry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate domestic and non-domestic washers and dryers
• Perform laundry duties such as sorting, folding and weighing linens
