About The Position
The purpose of this position is to implement laundry procedures to operate the laundry department in a cost-effective, efficient manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent is required.
- Experience performing the essential functions of the position is desirable.
- Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
- Must display positive attitude.
- Must demonstrate independence, initiative, conscientiousness, and dependability.

Responsibilities
- Collects and sorts soiled laundry.
- Inspects for resident items (e.g., hearing aide, dentures, etc.)
- Performs stain removal when necessary.
- Loads and operates washers and dryers.
- Folds and sorts laundered items
- Uses laundry supplies efficiently.
- Assists in proper care of laundry equipment.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor
- Implements laundry procedures to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements
- Participates in the monitoring system for the laundry department.
- Notifies supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Notifies supervisor when equipment needs repair.
- Notifies supervisor when linen and residents’ clothing need repair.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
