About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Laundry Worker to join its team at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. The role is responsible for operating large commercial washers and dryers according to safety standards while working collaboratively with team members. The position involves processing and inspecting laundry, maintaining organization, communicating linen needs, and recording laundry loads and losses.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to work effectively with others in fast-paced environments and use effective communication skills with guests and team members.
• Basic math skills.
• No experience or diploma required.

Nice To Haves

• Laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Office Coordinator or Laundry Supervisor regarding Housemen’s linen needs for the floors and cottage.
• Operate and tend machines, washing and drying items such as sheets, draperies, linens, and carpets, and use the correct amounts of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives as needed.
• Sort, count, and put away items removed from dryers while maintaining a clean and organized laundry closet.
• Inspect soiled items to determine stain sources, locate color imperfections, and identify items requiring special treatment.
• Iron or press articles, fabrics, banquet linens, napkins, and spa linen using hand irons or pressing machines.
• Record loads washed and dried to calculate productivity, including linen losses due to stains, tears, and wear.
