About The Position

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Laundry Worker works to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the department equipment, in accordance with standards, regulations, and department policies. They ensure the continuous processing of soiled and clean laundry and linen products in the department, so as to provide clean and safe products to be used by the laundry customers, in appropriate quantities. The role involves carrying out these functions in a professional manner, that achieves the mission, goals, and objectives of the Nova Scotia Health.

Requirements

Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience required
Knowledge of Infection Control procedures
Completion of WHMS training
Good knowledge of Infection Control guidelines as they pertain to an industrial laundry operation

Nice To Haves

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
