About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to help maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves and improving customer and resident experiences.

The Laundry Worker collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds, and distributes linens and personal clothing; operates laundry equipment; maintains records; and follows infection control and universal precautions. The position involves interacting with residents, staff, and guests and completing other duties as assigned.

A high school diploma or equivalent and previous laundry experience are preferred but not required. Applicants must be able to perform routine repetitive tasks, follow oral and written instructions, work around cleaning products, and meet the stated physical requirements. Residency within the service area and compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to work around cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
