About The Position

As the Laundry Worker 2 for Auxiliary Facilities Services, you will work under general supervision to lead subordinate laundry workers on a regular basis or take primary responsibility for coordinating and completing laundry activities. This is a full-time (100 % FTE), permanent position and is overtime eligible.

Requirements

• Six months of experience as a Laundry Worker 1 or equivalent, in a large commercial or large institutional laundry.
• Completion of a training course in laundry operations may substitute for three months of required experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead subordinate laundry workers on a regular basis or take primary responsibility for coordinating and completing laundry activities.
• Perform Laundry Duties (70%)
• Perform Custodial Responsibilities (15%)
• Perform Lead Responsibilities (10%)
• Perform Other Duties (5%)
