About The Position

The Laundry Wash Attendant processes all laundry to exacting standards.

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping or professional cleaning experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of HotSOS preferred/is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
• US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, wax and clean the Flat Iron Press; shake all linens including pillowcases, napkins, sheets and tablecloths and feed through Flat Iron Press; collect/catch pressed linens when folded; add an additional fold, if required; place all folded linen in cart.
• Operate and clean Towel Press Machine; feed all towels through and collect/catch once pressed; add an additional fold, if required; place all folded towels in cart.
• Identify and separate any stained or torn linens, including pillow cases, napkins, sheets and tablecloths.
• Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Uniform Room Attendant.
• Assist Housekeeping Management with weekly stock takes of guest supplies, cleaning supplies and chemicals needed for the cleaning of Front and Back of House areas.
