About The Position

Merakey USA - Hummelstown Campus is seeking friendly, compassionate, team players to join their laundry team as a Laundry Technician. This role involves performing all laundry production activities, ensuring adequate linen supplies for the facility's daily needs, and maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas. The position requires effective communication, good hygiene, and the ability to perform physical tasks associated with laundry operations.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Nice To Haves

Laundry experience (linen utilization, cleaning, custodian, janitorial, healthcare).

Responsibilities

Perform all laundry production activities, including washing, folding, ironing, sorting, and more.
Ensure there are adequate supplies of linen for the daily needs of the facility.
Process clean and soiled laundry in a timely manner.
Receive, weigh, and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers.
Sort, fold, and iron clean laundry.
Pack and transport clean laundry to deliver throughout the facility.
Record linen usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
Ensure linen quality is satisfactory, and report any quality issues.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
Follow all HHS linen procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
