About The Position

Goodwill of Colorado is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to oversee and assist in daily laundry production. This role involves leading and training laundry workers in all aspects of laundry production. The position is part of the AbilityOne Program, which focuses on employing individuals who are blind or have significant disabilities. The supervisor will ensure that 75% of the services provided are completed by individuals meeting these requirements.

Requirements

  • One (1) year supervisory experience in a production environment is required.
  • Must conduct self in a professional manner conducive to a productive work environment.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills including the ability to supervise people, communicate effectively to the leadership and staff, work cooperatively, organize work, and make good decisions.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the work setting.
  • Must be able to work with people with disabilities.
  • Must be able to bend, lift up to 25 pounds, stoop, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work on some designated holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to use various computer programs such as e-mail and designated laundry production, management, and billing software.

Nice To Haves

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous Laundry operations background is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to assigned laundry workers throughout the facility including the sort room, washroom, folding area, and order filling.
  • Coordinate personnel requirements to fulfill orders and effectively utilize personnel for efficient time and productivity.
  • Train all general laundry and washroom workers on proper laundry techniques.
  • Manage the steady flow of laundry throughout the laundry facility.
  • Oversee the quality of all phases of laundry operations.
  • Coordinate with the sort, wash/dryer, and folding rooms for linen orders to be filled.
  • Expedite order filling and coordinate with drivers for delivery of clean linens to customers.
  • Make recommendations to the Laundry III, Supervisor and General Manager of appropriate Performance and Accountability Reporting (PAR) levels of linen to fulfill customer requirements and orders.
  • Ensure proper weighing of carts for deliveries are recorded for proper billing.
  • Coordinate with Laundry Engineer any repairs needed on equipment.
  • Maintain open communication at all times in relationship with other Supervisors, Leads, and Managers.
  • Accept other duties as assigned.
