Laundry Supervisor - Full Time (Horseshoe Laundry LV)
About The Position
This is a supervisor level position requiring laundry operations experience that will be responsible for overseeing a complete Dry-Cleaning department handling linen laundering for convention centers, guest clothing, employee uniforms, and specialties. This role has responsibility for ensuring safe and efficient operation of laundering equipment by an assigned team of up to 25 team members. Candidate will also be responsible for accurate reporting of the department productivity using excel, word and any other reporting tools and timely completion of work assignments with a high level of productivity while maintaining high positivity in a fast-paced work environment.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the commercial laundry/dry clean equipment including but not limited to; Washers, dryers, dry clean machines, presses and steam tunnels.
- Strong computer skills and software knowledge.
- Periodic use of electronic MMS work order systems, and company specific programs.
- Strong computer skills (MS products including Excel)
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Must be Bi-Lingual to ensure strong communication and understanding with all employees. (English and Spanish)
- Ability to handle tools, supplies and equipment exceeding 50lbs, utilizing tool assistance as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Strong troubleshooting skills for laundry & Dry Clean equipment to resolve minor issues.
- Must be flexible to schedule additional hours if needed for assistance with various projects or onsite coverage.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a complete Dry-Cleaning department handling linen laundering for convention centers, guest clothing, employee uniforms, and specialties.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of laundering equipment by an assigned team of up to 25 team members.
- Accurately report department productivity using excel, word, and other reporting tools.
- Complete work assignments with a high level of productivity while maintaining high positivity in a fast-paced work environment.
- Record daily productivity and interpret daily ordering in excel or other computer applications.
- Track attendance of team members.
- Oversee and facilitate equipment training ensuring all team members meet Caesars high standards for safety.
- Demonstrate safe work practices with a solid understanding of safety requirements when working with Steam and other high temperature equipment.
- Demonstrate safe work practices with a solid understanding of safety requirements when working with various cleaning chemicals.
- Participate in all company provided safety training and follow all required safety guidelines and processes established in the department.
- Ensure all team members they supervise meet all compliance requirements and training deadlines.
- Communicate professionally in all email correspondence.
- Hit deadlines and complete job tasks as set by leadership without direct monitoring or oversight.
- Oversee hourly team members in their daily job duties and assignments.
- Mentor and develop any entry level positions and own the responsibility of their exposure and progress if assigned.
- Provide coaching and praise as warranted and lead in daily communications with team members.
- Support team compliance to company and department policies and procedures.
- Issue discipline for violations to those procedures.
