About The Position

The Village at Summerville is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Laundry Specialist to join their team. This role is part of a ministry dedicated to enriching the quality of life for seniors of all faiths. The Laundry Specialist will create a warm hospitality experience for residents, staff, and visitors, working with a passionate team to provide quality service throughout the community. The position offers progressive sign-on bonuses for full-time employees.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 year of related laundry or housekeeping experience
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry personal laundry of residents on an as-needed basis.
• Wash and dry linens for the residential and health services areas.
• Pick up soiled linens from all areas where stored and transport to the laundry room in a covered container.
• Keep washers and dryers clean daily.
• Keep laundry carts neat and covered.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by washing hands, wearing gloves, and safety goggles as required.
• Separate soiled laundry sheets, towels, rags, etc.
• Clean and disinfect linen carts daily.
