About The Position

The Laundry Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean, fresh linens and towels for guest rooms and hotel operations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining Marriott brand standards by operating laundry equipment safely, maintaining an organized work area, and supporting the Housekeeping team to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
Basic communication skills in English; bilingual is a plus.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Repeated bending, reaching, kneeling, and twisting.
Ability to work in warm and humid conditions around commercial laundry equipment.
Knowledge of proper laundry procedures and fabric care.
Ability to safely operate commercial laundry equipment.
Strong time management and multitasking skills.
Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist team members.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, pillowcases, blankets, and other laundry items according to Marriott standards.
Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and remove items that do not meet quality standards.
Treat stains using approved cleaning products and procedures.
Keep laundry supplies stocked, including detergents, bleach, softeners, and other chemicals.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, equipment, and storage areas.
Monitor machine performance and report maintenance issues promptly.
Deliver clean linens and towels to designated housekeeping storage areas as needed.
Assist housekeeping staff with linen distribution during busy periods.
Follow proper infection control, safety, and chemical handling procedures.
Dispose of waste and recyclables according to hotel policies.
Complete assigned tasks within established productivity standards.
Assist with additional housekeeping duties as requested by management.
