Laundry Production Worker for Commercial Laundry
About The Position
The Laundry Production Worker performs various tasks in the production area of an industrial laundry facility, sorting, folding, and preparing clean and soiled linens using manual and automated equipment. The role is suited to a detail-oriented, organized, dependable person who can work in a fast-paced environment. Employees must follow safety procedures and protocols, participate in company health and safety programs, comply with company safety and OSHA policies, wear required personal protective equipment, and report hazardous conditions or safety incidents promptly to management. Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to respond to verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Organized and dependable.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working in industrial conditions, including heat, cold, and high noise levels.
Nice To Haves
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience.
Responsibilities
- Sort soiled and clean linen for processing.
- Feed clean linen into belt-fed folding machines.
- Fold smaller items by hand as needed.
- Operate production equipment, including ironers, feeders, and folders.
- Track production and report quantities processed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols.
- Participate in company health and safety programs and follow company safety and OSHA policies.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
- Report hazardous conditions or safety incidents immediately to management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
