About The Position

The Laundry Production Operator is responsible for various tasks within the plant, including sorting, washing, folding, and transporting linen. This role involves counting and packing items according to customer orders and utilizing facility equipment to meet daily production needs. The operator must also communicate any product defects, equipment malfunctions, or errors to the supervisor or maintenance team, and adhere to all plant safety protocols, including company and OSHA standards. Maintaining a clean working environment and collaborating to meet company goals are also key aspects of this position. Within the Soil Distribution Department, the operator will sort all soiled linen throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, fold, and transport linen throughout the facility.
Count and pack items according to customer order requests.
Properly utilize facility equipment to complete daily production needs.
Communicate product defects, equipment malfunctions, and errors to supervisor or maintenance team.
Adhere to all plant safety protocols, including company and OSHA standards.
Maintain a clean working environment.
Work collaboratively to meet company goals.
Sort all soiled linen throughout the day.
Maintain established productivity standards.
Inspect all linen to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Follow all health and safety standards throughout the facility.
Maintain organization within personal and shared workspaces.
Report equipment malfunctions, linen defects or shortages, and safety hazards appropriately.
Maintain company-wide DART accident rate at or below 2.
Other duties as assigned.
