About The Position

Laundry Personnel works in various areas in laundry, including sorting, destaining by hand, washing, drying, detailed folding, packing supplies, and operating the iron machine. Laundry washes supplies for all departments, including banquets, maintenance, and housekeeping. Occasionally, laundry personnel will assist room cleaners in stripping rooms. The Housekeeping Department's mission is to provide the best in-room experience through high-level cleaning team service, making all guests feel like part of the Campbell’s Family. The department offers exceptional cleaning services in rooms, conference rooms, restaurants, and public areas, ensuring these spaces are clean and comfortable for guests.

Requirements

Ability to make decisions, be adaptable, and work as a team in a work environment.
Verbal communication skills in Basic English and Spanish.
Understand the laundry manual.
Ability to load with caution 40lbs.
Ability to climb stairs with loads.
Ability to lift objects above the head.
Ability to bend over to kneel and stretch carefully.
Possess the ability to manage time effectively.
Motivation to serve the public.
Ability to find jobs to do without being constantly supervised.
Flexible and willing to learn to do new jobs.

Must be able to pass a mandatory background check of the company.

Responsibilities

Sort all kinds of clothes that come to laundry.
Wash necessary sheets, towels, tablecloths, rags, curtains, blankets, kitchen towels, and restaurant uniforms.
Remove stains from clothes that need to be scrubbed using different types of liquids depending on the stains.
Wash clothes that are stained with blood, vomit, or feces, and clothes with dog or cat hair.
Dry clothes after washing by moving them in a cart to the dryers. Items to be dried include towels, curtains, blankets, rags, pillows, and uniforms.
Fold kitchen towels, small hand towels, tablecloths, fitted sheets, curtains, and colored clothes by hand on a table.
Operate a folding machine for large and medium towels, pool towels, and cloth mats.
Operate the Iron Machine, which requires two people to take a corner of the sheet, stretch it, and put it on the bands. This machine is used for sheets, covers, and tablecloths.
Pack items after checking that they are folded, including sheets, covers, regular curtains, and tablecloths.
Get to work in a clean and tidy uniform, well-groomed and ready to work.
Create an atmosphere that makes Campbell a pleasant place to work.
Be a team player, showing enthusiasm while helping others.
Work at both Campbell’s and At Midtowner Motel properties.
Be trained in room cleaning.
Have cross-training.
Be informed of the services Campbell’s offers to the guest.
Have daily responsibility for your assigned area.
Have the responsibility for the final inspection in detail.
Make inventories and follow your list of activities.
Clean your designated areas at the end of the day and help your team out.
Be trained in a different section each day, with the following week spent in each section with another employee.
