As a Laundry Lead at Courtyard, you’ll be essential to leading our behind-the-scenes success, keeping linens fresh, clean, and ready to support a seamless guest experience.

Requirements

  • No formal education required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of laundry, housekeeping, or related hospitality experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Competence in operating industrial laundry equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet operational deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds as required throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending during tasks such as loading/unloading machines and folding linens.
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in a warm, physically active environment with industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and separate soiled linens and terry into designated containers for proper processing.
  • Operate commercial washers and dryers to ensure efficient and high-quality linen output.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with hotel safety and cleanliness guidelines.
  • Promptly report malfunctioning equipment, low inventory of supplies, and damaged linens to a supervisor to help ensure smooth laundry operations.
  • Lead and support the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality standards.
  • Perform other job -related duties as assigned.
  • Train, coach, and provide guidance to laundry attendants on proper procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation.
  • Assist with scheduling and prioritize workload to meet occupancy demands and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest and operational linen needs are met.
