About The Position

Valor Hospitality is seeking passionate and detail-oriented individuals to join their team as Laundry Box Truck Drivers. This role involves driving a box truck to deliver linen and supplies throughout the property safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading the truck, performing daily vehicle inspections, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and assisting in the laundry and housekeeping departments when not driving. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1 year experience in operating a commercial vehicle or similar role.
A Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record is Required.
Remain organized and self-supervised to complete tasks.
Knowledge of the surrounding area.
Communicate to both, guests and fellow associates, professionally and positively.
Knowledge of general work safety practices.
Lift/Carry Up to 100 lbs. issuing supplies, inventory, receiving supplies.
Push/Pull Up to 750lbs carts, containers, bins of supplies, inventory, linens and terry.
Bending/Kneeling to check rooms, under bed and cabinets, drawers, inspect floors, etc.
Continuous movement throughout the shift/hotel.
Climbing Stairs up to approximately 20 %.
Climbing Ladders up to approximately 10 %.
Moderate driving, to pick up and deliver supplies and linen.
Critical Hearing skills to deal with guests, associates, and to operate a company vehicle.
Critical Vision for operating a vehicle on busy public thoroughfares.
Critical Speech for communicating with guests and associates.
Knowledge of usage for cleaning chemicals and agents for training purposes.
Operation of Box Truck or other company issued vehicles, radio, iPod, vacuum, wet vacuum, industrial washer/dryer, floor buffer.

Nice To Haves

CDL preferred.
Hotel or Condo experience a plus.
Literacy: Need to read daily checklist and complete daily vehicle log book.

Responsibilities

Drive a box truck to deliver linen and supplies throughout the property in a safe and efficient manner.
Follow all road safety driving rules and regulations.
Safely load and unload truck of supplies and linen.
Inspect vehicle daily for damage and cleanliness.
Report any deficiencies or damage to the vehicle up the chain of command.
Clean vehicle as needed.
Work in the laundry when not driving.
Work in housekeeping when not driving.
Collect, sort, and prepare dirty linen for pick up from outsourced laundry company.
Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
Act in a professional manner.
Follow procedures of chemical use, equipment uses, and cleaning routines.
May be called upon to perform housekeeping duties.
Completes special projects as required.
Knows and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs.
Works extra shifts, and hours as required.
Assists in other departments as needed.
