About The Position

This position is responsible for handling all laundry operations within the hotel, ensuring cleanliness and organization of linens and the laundry area. The role requires adherence to hotel standards, professional guest and employee interactions, and efficient task management. The hotel operates 24/7, requiring flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for the required time for the shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be able to read and understand chemical products to ensure proper use.
  • Must be able to demonstrate reliable and timely attendance.
  • Must be able to manage time and complete tasks on schedule and efficiently.
  • Must comply with all hotel, company, and brand standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Handle all interactions with hotel employees and/or guests in a friendly, professional, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and storage area.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Hotel experience or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sort soiled linens wearing gloves.
  • Identify, pull, and treat stained laundry.
  • Remove damaged laundry from inventory.
  • Load soiled linens into the washing machine.
  • Unload wet, clean linens into the dryers.
  • Fold and store dry, clean linens, towels, rags, etc. in appropriate locations.
  • Issue towels, rags, and linens to housekeepers daily or as needed.
  • Clean out and remove lint from lint traps daily.
  • Sweep the floor after cleaning lint traps.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and storage area.
  • Refill chemicals as needed.
  • Handle all interactions with hotel employees and/or guests in a friendly, professional, service-oriented manner.
  • Comply with all hotel, company, and brand standards and regulations.
  • Assist in ordering supplies by informing the supervisor when stock is low.
  • Report all maintenance equipment issues to the supervisor.
  • Report any and all health, safety, or hazard issues to the supervisor.
  • Report maintenance requests as needed.
  • Report all lost and found items according to hotel standards.
  • Complete all other assigned duties when necessary.
