About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean, fresh, and properly processed linens and terry items for hotel operations. This position operates laundry equipment, sorts and processes linens, maintains laundry facilities, and supports the Housekeeping Department in delivering exceptional guest experiences while adhering to Hilton brand standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to push and pull loaded laundry carts.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in a warm environment with exposure to laundry chemicals and equipment noise.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as folding, sorting, and loading laundry.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, hotel, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial laundry equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, bedding, uniforms, and other laundry items.
  • Operate commercial washers, dryers, ironers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect linens and uniforms for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove unsuitable items from circulation.
  • Apply appropriate stain treatment methods and laundering procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels of clean linens and communicate shortages to management.
  • Deliver clean linens and supplies to designated storage areas and housekeeping closets.
  • Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Monitor and report equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, and supply needs.
  • Follow proper chemical handling procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, hotel policies, and Hilton brand standards.
  • Assist Housekeeping staff with linen distribution and related duties as assigned.
  • Support the housekeeping team during peak occupancy periods when needed.
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment.
