About The Position

The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of all linens, towels, uniforms, and guest textiles throughout the Dellshire Resort. This position is responsible for operating commercial laundry equipment, following established procedures for sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens. The Laundry Attendant upholds Dellshire Resort’s commitment to excellence by ensuring all items meet the resort’s high standards for cleanliness, appearance, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred; hospitality or resort background a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with commercial laundry operations and equipment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts if required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and uniforms according to fabric type and resort standards.
  • Inspect all laundered items for stains, tears, or wear and set aside damaged items for repair or replacement.
  • Maintain an organized and clean laundry work area at all times.
  • Handle chemicals and detergents safely, following all safety and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Load and unload linens from carts, ensuring accurate counts and proper rotation of stock.
  • Ensure timely delivery and pickup of linens and terry from various resort departments.
  • Assist with inventory management of linens, chemicals, and supplies; report shortages or equipment issues promptly.
  • Operate pressing, folding, and finishing equipment as needed.
  • Follow proper infection control and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping leadership to meet daily production goals.
  • Support sustainability and recycling efforts in laundry operations.
