About The Position

The Towneplace Suites Harrisburg is seeking a Laundry Attendant who embodies the MCR standard of providing clean, friendly, well-organized, and safe hotels for its guests. This role is crucial in maintaining "Spotless Cleanliness" and contributing to overall "Happy Guests" through consistent product quality and teamwork.

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel.
Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate supervisor.
Never work while off the clock.
Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule.
Provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
Regularly required to stand for sustained periods of time.
Regularly required to walk to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Regularly required to make substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Required to lift and carry certain laundry supplies, linens and other items.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of washers, dryers, and laundry chutes, folding, storing and delivering.
Washes and dries all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management.
Removes and sorts dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
Folds linens/towels and stocks linen carts, as required.
Understands the operation of washing machines and dryers.
Cleans dryer filters as directed and noted on checklist and maintains all equipment as trained.
Sweeps and mops laundry floors, storing all linens off the floor.
Keeps laundry carts clean and free of debris.
Stocks all linen closets throughout the hotel, as applicable.
Ensures all back of house areas are well-organized and clean.
Replaces and replenishes cleaning chemicals.
