About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, and folding laundry according to StepStone and hotel standards. This role involves operating laundry machinery, sorting and inspecting garments, maintaining cleanliness of equipment, and assisting with inventory. The position requires effective communication, adherence to policies, and the ability to perform physical tasks associated with laundry operations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Load articles into washer and ensure correct code is entered into machines.
• Wash clothes according to StepStone and hotel standards.
• Sort dried articles based on item type and check for stains and damage.
• Fold and place items in appropriate storage racks.
• Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when found.
• Soak articles in bleach according to procedure.
• Check and clean all filters on washers and driers every two hours.
• Make rounds to pull dirty linen from housekeeping carts as needed.
• Assist with monthly linen inventory.
• Attend required meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
