About The Position

Culver Academies is a private boarding school seeking diverse talent to support its mission and enrich its learning environment. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for all aspects of processing student laundry, including sorting, ironing, folding, and stacking laundry in the proper bins to ensure all garments are returned to the correct student. This role also involves cross-training in stocking racks and shelves in the Uniform Shop, processing dry cleaning, and assisting with inventory. Additionally, the attendant will be trained as a wash line operator, handling sorted clothing, loading washers with correct chemical settings, configuring dryers, and processing dried laundry. The position also includes serving as a backup truck driver and assisting with laundry pickups and deliveries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or HSE.
• Computer proficiency.
• Demonstrated desire to help others.
• Ability to work effectively within every level of the organization.
• Ability to multitask between job responsibilities.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including registration weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, ironing, folding, and stacking student laundry.
• Returning all garments to the correct student.
• Assisting with stocking racks and shelves in the Uniform Shop.
• Processing dry cleaning.
• Assisting with inventory processes.
• Operating as a wash line operator: loading washers, inputting chemical settings, loading and configuring dryers, and processing dried laundry.
• Serving as a backup truck driver.
• Assisting with laundry pickups and deliveries.
