Part Time Laundry Attendant
About The Position
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests. This role involves effective communication with guests and team members, sorting and laundering linens, treating stains, and ensuring linens are properly washed, dried, folded, and stored. The attendant will also maintain a clean and safe work area, report any issues to the supervisor, and assist with room attendant duties and other departments as needed to ensure the best overall performance of the department and hotel. The goal is to deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience. Management may assign additional duties as necessary.
Requirements
- One (1) year experience preferred.
- Knowledge of proper way to launder linens.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding desirable.
- Dependable.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting.
- Reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
- Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 20 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning agents.
- Must be aware of the importance of safety and security.
- Endeavor to be conscious of safety and security at all times.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Sort linens for washing.
- Check for stains and treat appropriately.
- Wash, dry, fold linen.
- Run linen and deliver as requested.
- Store linen in appropriate location.
- Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
- Report any missing/found articles or damage to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Assist with room attendant duties as needed.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
- Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
