About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for performing the property's laundry operations, ensuring clean, well-maintained linens and terry are consistently available for guest use. This role plays a critical part in supporting the housekeeping team by maintaining an adequate supply of high-quality linens and providing a clean, organized, and efficient laundry operation.

Basic understanding of commercial laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals, or willingness to learn.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, including heat and steam typical of a laundry environment.

Responsibilities

Wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, and terry following established SOPs and brand standards.
Sort and inspect linens for stains, tears, or excessive wear, removing damaged items from circulation.
Treat stained linens using approved cleaning methods and products.
Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of clean linens and communicate shortages to management.
Deliver clean linens to housekeeping and collect soiled linens on a regular schedule.
Keep the laundry room clean, organized, stocked, and free of safety hazards.
Monitor laundry supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment.
Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the appropriate team.
Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and company policies.
Support the housekeeping team with laundry-related tasks as needed.
