About The Position

The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests. The Laundry Attendant performs all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of washers, dryers, and laundry chutes, folding, storing and delivering. This role involves washing and drying all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management, removing and sorting dirty linens and towels from laundry carts, and folding linens/towels and stocking linen carts as required. The attendant must understand the operation of washing machines and dryers, clean dryer filters as directed, and maintain all equipment as trained. Additionally, the role requires maintaining the cleanliness of the laundry facility by sweeping and mopping floors, storing all linens off the floor, keeping laundry carts clean and free of debris, and stocking all linen closets throughout the hotel. The attendant will also be responsible for replacing and replenishing cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

• Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must have a desire to serve all guests.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
• Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel.
• Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate supervisor. Never work while off the clock.
• Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule.
• Provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
• Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
• Repetitive Motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Lifting: Carrying certain laundry supplies, linens and other items.

Responsibilities
