Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Sort soiled linens, towels, and uniforms by color, fabric type, and level of soiling.
  • Wash, dry, and fold items according to hotel procedures and care instructions.
  • Use industrial washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor equipment for proper functioning and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.
  • Check for stains, tears, or damage on linens and garments.
  • Treat stains and perform minor repairs (e.g., sewing small tears or replacing buttons).
  • Restock clean linens and towels in storage areas or deliver them to housekeeping or other departments as needed.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of linens to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Clean and organize the laundry room to maintain hygiene and operational efficiency.
  • Dispose of trash, lint, and other waste materials properly.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel and brand quality standards for laundered items.
  • Assist housekeeping staff with additional laundry-related tasks, such as collecting used linens from guest rooms.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure laundry is cleaned and delivered in a timely manner, especially during peak times.
