About The Position

The Doubletree By Hilton Newark Airport is looking for a Laundry Attendant to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of ironed, pressed, and folded linens for the hotel, contributing to outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Requirements

• Ability to bend, stoop, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking/standing.
• Ability to read basic English signs, prose, and numbers.
• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with English-speaking guests and team members.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working as a Laundry Attendant is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform linen processing, including loading and unloading washers, dryers, and chutes, ironing, folding, collecting, transporting, and sorting.
• Operate and ensure proper operation of ironing and folding equipment and machinery, feeding and setting equipment at proper operating speed and folding levels.
• Collect and transport finished laundry from machines and load into delivery carts.
• Separate linens including sheets, towels, napkins, tabletops, blankets, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area.
• Report irregular items for removal and/or repair.
• Perform additional laundry services, as needed.
