About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the daily cleaning of all guest and hotel linen. This role involves processing soiled linen to ensure a clean and fresh product for hotel operations. The position requires maintaining open communication with the Laundry Supervisor and housekeeping department, sorting linen by type, and processing it according to department policies. The attendant will inspect processed linen for quality, participate in inventories, maintain the cleanliness of the laundry area, and ensure all equipment is in good working order, reporting any necessary repairs. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the delivery of linen to various locations within the resort.

Requirements

• None required prior experience.
• Competence (after training) in the safe use of distribution carts, mangle, washers, dryers, and all other equipment in the laundry.
• Ability to read, write and follow simple written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
• Self-motivation.
• Strong ability to adapt and accept changes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open channels of communication with Laundry Supervisor and housekeeping department.
• Sort linen by type and process in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Inspect all processed linen to ensure the highest quality product possible.
• Take part in all inventories under the direction of the laundry supervisor.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the laundry to meet all standards.
• Maintain all equipment. Observe repairs if needed.
• Assist in delivery of linen to Lodge/Cottages/Inn.
