About The Position

The Laundry Attendant supports hotel operations by processing and distributing clean linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items. The role uses commercial laundry equipment and follows appropriate sanitization, processing, and chemical-safety procedures. It also helps maintain laundry supplies and organized work and storage areas, distributes linens to hotel departments, and delivers guest-requested items while providing professional, confidential guest service.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Basic computer skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and equipment usage.
Understanding of safe chemical handling practices.
Reliable and punctual, detail-oriented and organized, team-focused and cooperative, and safety-conscious.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and committed to providing exceptional guest service.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Office experience.
Previous laundry or housekeeping experience.
Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Sort linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items by color, size, and fabric type.
Operate commercial washers, dryers, folding equipment, and pressing machines.
Fold, press, package, and prepare clean laundry for use throughout the hotel.
Follow proper sanitization and laundry processing procedures.
Load and unload commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain adequate supplies of detergent, bleach, fabric softener, laundry bags, and other essentials.
Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and fully operational.
Assist with stocking storage rooms and linen areas.
Distribute linens to designated hotel departments.
Deliver guest-requested items such as towels, cribs, and rollaway beds as needed.
Maintain positive guest interactions and confidentiality.
Respond professionally to guest concerns and requests.
Help keep linens clean and readily available to support hotel operations.
