Laundry Attendant (Part-Time) | Hotel Leo
About The Position
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for laundering, altering, and repairing linens, towels, and other items according to established standards. This role involves maintaining linen and towel par levels, removing damaged items from circulation, and reporting items beyond repair. The attendant also sorts and prepares soiled laundry for pickup by contracted services, receives and processes deliveries, and maintains accurate records. Safety procedures are paramount, and the attendant must report any unsafe conditions immediately, using equipment and chemicals only as intended. A clean and organized work area and inventory are expected, along with assisting fellow housekeeping team members when possible.
Requirements
- 1 year hotel housekeeping/laundry experience or related experience
- Desire to work in a fast-paced role
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of cleaning/laundry techniques/chemical applications a plus
Responsibilities
- Launders, alters and repairs linens, towels and other items in accordance with established standards
- Maintains linen and towel par levels for all hotel operations
- Removes damaged and stained linen from circulation. Makes repairs when possible. Reports items with damage beyond repair
- Sorts and prepares soiled hotel linen, and other laundry for pickup by contracted laundry service(s)
- Receives and processes laundry service deliveries
- Keeps accurate and complete records of laundry services
- Follows all safety procedures. Reports all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Uses equipment and chemicals only as intended
- Keeps work area and inventory clean and organized
- Assists fellow housekeeping team members when possible and appropriate
