About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for separating, washing, drying and folding of resort linens. They will ensure the proper cleanliness and sanitation of all soiled linens to maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction. The Laundry Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa Culture as well as promoting our hotel values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Accountability and Passion for Service.

Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a natural ability to interact with others
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must possesses excellent communication skills
  • Must have excellent listening skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work various shift times that may include mornings, mid-days, and evenings
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with guests and team members; and resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

Nice To Haves

  • Prior laundry experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

  • Separates, washes, dries and folds linens
  • Sorts linens by texture, soil, color and size; drapes wet sheets, tablecloths, etc.
  • Reports and sets aside all heavily stained linen for pre-spotting
  • Folds all linens, tablecloths, napkins and spa & guest room robes
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues and reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
  • Keeps work area clean, sanitary, stocked and orderly at all times
  • Follows the Woodmark Lost and Found procedures
  • Immediately report any maintenance requests to supervisor
  • Attends appropriate department, hotel and division meetings
  • Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records
  • Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Woodmark Hotel dress code standards
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
