About The Position
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all linens and towels are cleaned, pressed and distributed in a timely and professional manner. This role supports overall guest satisfaction by maintaining high standard of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency withing the laundry facility.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or commercial laundry experience preferred
- Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English Spanish language skills preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens and towels according to company standards
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment (washers, dryers, pressers, steamers, folding machines)
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and remove defective items from circulation
- Treat stains using proper cleaning chemicals and techniques
- Maintain accurate counts of linens, assist with inventory as needed
- Distribute clean linens to housekeeping and other departments promptly
- Follow proper chemical handling, safety and OSHA guidelines
- Keep laundry areas clean, organized and free of hazards
- Report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions immediately
- Other duties as assigned
