Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, according to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Sort and pre-treat soiled linens and garments to remove stains and prepare them for washing.
- Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring proper capacity and distribution.
- Monitor laundry cycles and adjust settings to ensure thorough cleaning and drying.
- Inspect laundered items for quality control, removing damaged or stained items.
- Fold and stack clean linens and garments, following hotel procedures for storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room, including regular cleaning of machines and surfaces.
- Restock linens in guest areas as necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels and request replenishment of laundry supplies.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors or Engineering.
- Assist with other housekeeping or laundry-related tasks as required.
