About The Position

The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests. This role is responsible for performing all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of washers, dryers, and laundry chutes, folding, storing and delivering. The Laundry Attendant will wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management, remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts, fold linens/towels and stock linen carts, as required. They will also be responsible for understanding the operation of washing machines and dryers, cleaning dryer filters, and maintaining all equipment as trained. Additionally, the role includes maintaining the cleanliness of the laundry facility by sweeping and mopping floors, storing linens off the floor, keeping laundry carts clean and free of debris, and stocking all linen closets throughout the hotel. The Laundry Attendant will also be responsible for replacing and replenishing cleaning chemicals.

• Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel.
• Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate supervisor. Never work while off the clock.
• Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule.
• Provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
• Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
• Repetitive Motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Lifting: Carrying certain laundry supplies, linens and other items.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.

Responsibilities
