Laundry Attendant
About The Position
The Laundry Attendant will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens. This involves sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established procedures. The attendant will also inspect items for stains, damages, or wear, and report issues to the appropriate department. Operating and maintaining laundry equipment, keeping the laundry area clean and organized, and assisting with inventory management are also key aspects of the role. Collaboration with housekeeping and other hotel staff is essential for timely delivery of clean linens, and the attendant will handle guest requests for additional linens or laundry services. Adherence to health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals, and performing routine maintenance on laundry equipment are also required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Ability to operate and maintain laundry equipment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Basic understanding of fabric care and laundry procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Initiative to identify and address laundry-related issues proactively
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and efficient laundry operation
Responsibilities
