About The Position
Clearwater Highland Park, a premier luxury senior living community in Dallas, TX, is seeking a part-time Laundry Assistant to join their team. This role is responsible for washing community laundry while adhering to guidelines, policies, and procedures. The position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to foster teamwork to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
Responsibilities
- Pick up and properly identify residents’ laundry
- Weigh and record laundry as received for residents and community needs
- Examine and sort into lots articles to be cleaned according to color, fabric and cleaning technique required
- Start washers and turn valves or levers to regulate machine processes and the volume of soap, detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives
- Load articles into washers, remove items from washers and load into dryers
- Sort and count articles removed from dryers
- Return cleaned linens/clothing to appropriate resident or storage area
- Clean machine filters as needed and report any maintenance repairs to supervisor
- Report any missing, damaged or found items to supervisor
- Maintain laundry area in clean and orderly condition
- Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, and guests
- Comply with Clearwater Living standards/policies to encourage safe and efficient operations
