About The Position
Join our dedicated team at Peter Becker Community as a Laundry Aide and help us deliver high-quality service to residents in a warm, caring environment. As a Laundry Aide, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in creating a safe, comfortable, and homelike environment for our residents. Your work helps us carry out our mission of compassion, dignity, and excellence in senior care. Peter Becker is a nonprofit, faith-based continuing care retirement community serving Montgomery and surrounding counties. Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Compassion for serving seniors and a team-oriented attitude
Responsibilities
- Pick up, sort, and wash soiled linens and personal clothing
- Operate commercial washers and dryers
- Fold, iron, label, and return clothing to appropriate locations
- Perform light sewing repairs as needed
- Deliver clean linens to resident areas
- Maintain equipment and laundry area cleanliness
- Follow all infection control and HIPAA policies
- Attend in-service trainings and comply with safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with residents and staff
