About The Position
Perform the day-to-day activities of the laundry department in accordance with current federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. Assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Maintain an adequate supply of linen at all times to meet the needs of the facility residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED desired.
- Knowledge of Long-Term Care Laundry practices desired.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 35 pounds to a minimum height of 2 feet and be able to push, pull, move; and/or carry said weight a minimum of 15 feet.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to successfully clear a Criminal History Background Inquiry that indicates no felony or conviction/s on the DSHS Secretary’s List.
- Knowledge of long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of laundry requirements in a Long-Term Care setting preferred.
